42 percent of Nepal Telecom’s recharge is from digital

While digital payments are increasing due to corona infection in the country, it has also affected mobile top-up.

Nepal Telecom’s mobile recharge has started to increase through electronic means while top-up is being done through recharge cards. According to Telecom, digital top-up has now reached 42 percent.

In a press conference on Monday, Nepal Telecom spokesperson Rajesh Joshi said that they are working on electronic top-up as a priority. Electric top-up is increasing now.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director of Telecom Dilliram Adhikari informed that now 42 percent of Nepal Telecom’s top-up is going digital.

According to him, this is an increase of 10 percent compared to last year. Last year, digital top-up was 32 percent.

With the increase in corona infection, mobile, internet, TV etc. fees are being paid through electronic means. Various mobile wallets, mobile banking, telecom websites are also being used for mobile recharge.
