5 billion 56 million transactions from QR codes in July, 14 billion more transactions from wallets

A new record has been set for the transaction through QR code. In the month of July alone, 5 billion 56 million rupees have been paid through QR code.

According to the current economic and financial status report of the country published by Nepal Rastra Bank, 5.56 billion was paid through QR codes in the first month of the current fiscal year 2078/79. In July, 12 lakh 93 thousand 349 transactions were done by scanning the QR code.

Similarly, 14 billion 50 million rupees have been transacted through mobile wallet. 1 crore 31 lakh 55 thousand 501 transactions have been done through mobile wallet in a month. Transactions through mobile wallets and QR codes are the highest so far.
