Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested a young man who posted obscene pictures and obscene status of minors on Facebook.
The arrested person is Vikash Maharjan alias Dipu, 29 years old resident of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-21.
According to the bureau, Maharjan posted obscene pictures and obscene statuses of minors on Facebook.
According to the spokesperson of the Bureau, Senior Superintendent of Police Navinda Aryal, Maharjan was arrested on Sunday with permission from the Kathmandu District Court for committing an offense under the Electronic Transactions Act 2063.
Aryal said that the court has extended the deadline by 5 days and the investigation is ongoing.
