Daraz, Nepal’s leading online market, has entered into an agreement with Nepal Electronic Payment System (NAPS) to promote prepayment while shopping on Daraz.
Daraz and Neps are encouraging the use of debit and credit cards on the online shopping platform in an effort to convert customers who prefer to pay for their orders through cash on delivery to prepaid.
The agreement was signed between Arun Phuyal, Head of Digital Payment and Partnership of Daraz Nepal and Pavindra Rajbhandari, CBO of Neps.
Arun Phuyal, Head of Digital Payments and Partnerships at Daraz Nepal, said that the partnership was made to take the Nepali e-commerce ecosystem to new heights and encourage digital payments.
In an effort to encourage customers to switch from cash to digital financial transactions, Daraz has been increasing relationships and payment partnerships with various banks and digital wallets.
Daraz has partnered with several banks, which have been giving special discounts to customers when they pay through those specific banks on designated bank days.
Customers can use Daily Bank Discount Vouchers when checking out their order on the Daraz app and selecting the option to pay via Bank of the Day Debit or Credit Card. Collected vouchers will be automatically applied during checkout.
