About 200 businesses in the United States have been hit by cyber attacks. According to cybersecurity firm Huntress Lab, about 200 businesses have been attacked by ransomware.

The hackers targeted Florida-based information technology company Cassia and then spread ransomware through the company’s corporate system, according to Huntress Lab.

Kaseya said he was investigating the attack. The Huntress Lab believes that the Russian ransomware group ‘Reveal’ may be behind this cyber attack.

The cyber-attack took place on Friday afternoon as US companies were preparing to close their businesses during Independence Day week.
