Facebook is shutting down the podcast feature brought in to compete with Clubhouse

Facebook will shut down its podcast service on June 3. This feature is going to be closed after less than a year of podcast service on Facebook.

Starting this week, Facebook will not allow podcasters to add show ads. The Hub and Soundbite will be closed sometime soon and the Live Audio Room will be converted to Facebook Live.

Meta said that it will focus on Facebook’s main feed and Instagram reels by changing its interest from podcasts. Meta wants to keep Metaverse in special importance. Meta, a competitor to Clubhouse, launched a podcast service.
