Google bought AI avatar maker to compete with TikTok

Google has bought a company that creates AI avatars to compete with TikTok. This startup called Alter has been working for the development of Avatar for a long time.

The company invested $100 million to purchase Alter. The company had acquired Alter two months ago but the information about it has come now.

Google has also participated in the race of tech giants to compete with TikTok by purchasing Alter. Google said it has 1.5 billion monthly active users.
