Nepal government will provide 42 types of services in a year through citizen app

The government is going to provide 42 types of services through the citizen app in a year. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has set a target of providing 42 types of government services through citizen app in the current fiscal year 2078/79.

The ministry is preparing to provide 42 types of services from the app by upgrading the citizen app in the current fiscal year. Currently, 22 types of services have been included in the citizen app, according to the ministry.

The government had launched the citizen app last April with the aim of providing all kinds of public services through mobile.

Currently, information on PAN, citizenship, passport, educational details, voter identity card, social security fund, citizen investment fund, savings fund can be obtained through the app. Complaints can also be registered through the app.

From the app, you can get a new PAN number, pay vehicle tax, and get a police character certificate. The government claims that the app has put an end to the hassle of citizens having to submit details like citizenship, passport, company registration, educational certificate to get government services.
