Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is also coming to Instagram. Speaking at the SXSW event, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg said that NFT will come to Instagram.
Zuckerberg said that this project will be out for users within a few months. About this, the executive director of Instagram, Adam Moseri, revealed that the company has been studying this technology for a long time.
An NFT is a cryptographic token recorded on the blockchain. It can tell who owns any digital object. This is a new digital certificate, which provides proof of who owns a photo, video and digital asset.
It cannot be duplicated or swapped. No matter if the content is lost, damaged or deleted, any NFT will remain secure on the blockchain.
It does not mean that users buy the artwork itself, only that users buy tokens that represent certain content.
