Russia has succeeded in shutting down the Ravel ransomware group. In 2021, most of the attacks were carried out by the Revival ransomware group. Russia’s Domestic Intelligence Service has arrested 14 members of the group.

He was arrested at the request of the United States. Revival is thought to have been involved in major attacks, including an attack on software company Kaseya, a colonial pipeline and an attack on meat supplier JBS. The ransomware group has been sentenced to seven years in prison.
