Swiss army bans WhatsApp

Meta Company’s WhatsApp has been banned by the Swiss Army as it may cause security problems. The army has to use the encrypted Swiss messaging app. Along with WhatsApp, the Swiss Army will also not be able to use the Signal and Telegram apps.

This ban was imposed due to the fear that the American government may know the secret information of Switzerland from WhatsApp’s database. The Swiss government has taken such a decision as data security is a matter of primary importance.

The military forces of other countries are also using WhatsApp to spy on private information. Many countries have developed their own apps for their armies.
