Hackers have launched the largest supply chain cyber attack to date. According to reports in The Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal, IT management software giant Kaseya has been attacked by ransomware.
The hack has been found to affect VSA remote maintenance tools. The company initially claimed that less than 40 customers had been affected by the hack, but Huntress said it had affected about 200 businesses.
The hack is estimated to have affected about eight cloud services, with many firms still affected. Kaseya said he had identified the security problem and was working to resolve it.
For a few days now, the company has been asking customers to shut down the VSA server and keep it offline until the update is installed. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a Russian military base.
