The United States has offered a ransom of up to 60 million for information leading to the capture of a hacker who carried out a cyber attack on Colonial Pipeline, the largest fuel pipeline in the United States.

The fuel pipeline has been reopened after the Colonial Company paid a ransom to the hacking group Darkside.

The Colonial Company paid a ransom of लाख 500,000 to the hacker group. The U.S. government and the Colonial Company did not say whether the hackers paid the ransom, but CNN, the New York Times, Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal claimed to have paid the hackers, citing various sources.

The colonial pipeline supplies 2.5 million barrels of fuel daily. This pipeline is 8,900 kilometers long.
