Nepal Rastra Bank is going to celebrate the financial year 2079/80 as the year of electronic payment transactions. Rastra Bank said this while announcing the monetary policy for the financial year 2078/79 on Friday.

It is said in the policy, ‘In order to celebrate the financial year 2079/80 as the year of electronic payment transactions, emphasis will be placed on the development of infrastructure and awareness raising in the current financial year.’

Rastra Bank has said that necessary facilitation will be provided for the revenue received by the Government of Nepal and all types of payments through banking and electronic payment.
