Three people have been arrested for misusing the source code of the software. The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested three operators of Preface Technology Pvt.
The arrested are from Lamahi municipality ward no. Binil KC, 39, of Mayadevi village municipality ward no. Shyam Bahadur Chaudhary, 40, of 5 and Nawalparasi East Kawasoti Municipality ward no. Shankar Gyawali, 36, of 7.
A complaint was lodged with the Cyber Bureau alleging that the software code owned by National Software and IT Solutions Pvt.
According to the bureau, while conducting technical analysis and investigation of the application, Preface Technology misused the source code and user interface and the operators involved in the company were arrested for acting contrary to the Electronic Transactions Act 2063.
According to the police, they were arrested with the permission of the Kathmandu District Court and further investigation is underway.
