Mílos, also Melos, island, southeastern Greece, in the Aegean Sea, one of the Cyclades Islands. Grain, fruit, and olive oil are produced. The famous Hellenistic statue Venus de Milo (Louvre, Paris) was found here in 1820. Area, 158 sq km (61 sq mi). Population (1981) 4554.
